Profile
Hi, my name is Stewart Robertson and I started painting in 2010 after a lifetime working with the Ordnance Survey as a surveyor mostly based in the Highlands of Scotland. As such, I was used to working in fine detail, plotting buildings, roads and fences accurately onto our large scale maps. I developed patience and a little expertise and this has helped me when I sit in front of an easel contemplating the start of a watercolour...
Some of the paintings that I have included in my portfolio have been sold, raffled, given away, kept for family or auctioned for good causes, but I include them to show what can be done. I am willing to undertake many different types of commissions, mainly but not entirely, in watercolour.
Some paintings such as the Kessock Bridge, Linn of Dee in Winter, River Luss Reflections, Kildonnan House, Plockton Bay, Torridon Hotel at Night, Coatbridge Sunset, Four People Portrait and the In Pinn and Great Stone Chute have been commended by the SAA.
Please see below the original paintings that I have for sale. These and other examples of my work along with sizes and attributions can be found in the 'Driftwood Artists' folder.
